Gorge Harbour Marina, situated on Cortes Island, British Columbia, is a unique and picturesque destination, renowned for its peaceful and wild beauty. This 100% Indigenous-owned marina, managed by the Klahoose First Nation, invites visitors to experience the tranquility and natural splendor of the area.
Located near the entrance of Desolation Sound, Gorge Harbour Marina boasts 1800 feet of protected docks, open year-round, offering secure moorage for boats of all sizes. The marina provides essential services such as 30 and 50 Amp power, and a fuel dock offering diesel, “ethanol-free” gas, and propane year-round. Moorage rates vary by season and boat size, with daily and monthly options available.
The Gorge General Store, modeled after classic Ma and Pa operations, is a highlight of the marina. It’s a fully stocked grocery store carrying high-quality local produce, including garden-fresh vegetables, wild-caught salmon, tuna, prawns, oysters, and hormone-free, ethically raised meat. The store also offers a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits, clothing, local crafts, and artwork.
In addition to its boating facilities and store, Gorge Harbour Marina serves as a base for adventurous visitors exploring Cortes Island, Desolation Sound, and the Discovery Islands. Its location along the northwest shore of Gorge Harbour offers stunning views of the west coast, making it a serene home away from home for its guests.
